Consult on Claude projects where engineering taste matters.

Cloud9 is looking for engineers who can combine software craft, agentic tool fluency, and clear communication. You may support customer projects, internal accelerators, Claude workflow implementation, or engineering enablement for teams adopting AI.

Position

  • Join the Cloud9 consultant pool and become eligible for ongoing client projects.
  • Start as a part-time consultant with project-based assignments.
  • After one successful project completion, Cloud9 may offer a full-time position.
  • Work fully remote, with customer travel possible for up to 10% of the engagement.
  • Sign as an on-demand consultant for 6 months, including a locked-in period connected to CCAF readiness.

Offer

$99 reimbursed Must pass the Claude Certificate Architect Foundation exam. Cloud9 reimburses the exam cost after passing.
$1,000 bonus CCAF passers receive a $1,000 USD sign-on bonus after joining the consultant pool.
$20-$35/hr Consultant hourly rate depends on experience, availability, communication level, and project fit.
6 months On-demand consultant agreement for 6 months, with a clear pathway to future projects.

Experience We Want

  • Minimum 3+ years of engineering experience in software, data, automation, infrastructure, or AI-enabled delivery.
  • Minimum 1+ year using Claude, Cursor, Codex, Claude Code, or comparable agentic development workflows.
  • Proficient English for client communication, technical explanation, documentation, and async project updates.
  • Comfortable turning fuzzy requirements into shipped prototypes, working software, evaluations, and reusable playbooks.
  • Strong ownership habits: clear status updates, careful testing, practical tradeoff thinking, and willingness to learn in public.
